The practical application of Dependent Origination (paṭiccasamuppāda)

Remember what Sayadaw Sunlun taught - didn't he teach about eye, ear, nose, tongue, body? At these five sense doors, isn't it wrong to contemplate in terms of beings and persons?

#Isn't_it_wrong_to_contemplate_in_terms_of_human_and_celestial_wealth? When contemplation is wrong, doesn't craving arise? When craving comes, does clinging stay still? No, it doesn't.

Isn't it taught as avijjā (ignorance), taṇhā (craving), upādāna (clinging)? Which cycle does this belong to? (Kilesa cycle, Lord). When contemplating avijjā, taṇhā, upādāna as truth, which truth is it? (Samudaya sacca, Lord). Yes, it's the Noble Truth of Origin.

#Where_there_is_samudaya_cause_don't_the_resultant_aggregates_arise? Isn't it good to examine what these samudaya causes are? Avijjā, taṇhā, upādāna, or in other words, taṇhā, upādāna, kamma. Isn't this worth considering?

Bodily, verbal, and mental actions. #Don't_be_afraid_of_kamma, you see? Bodily, verbal, and mental actions are results. #These_are_results, you see? Isn't it worth examining? As results, they are dukkha sacca (Truth of Suffering).

Looking behind these bodily and verbal actions, searching for causes, "Upādānapaccayā kammabhavo" - don't we find clinging? If clinging ceases, will bodily, verbal, and mental actions still come?

If they don't come, doesn't the cycle of aggregates end? #Isn't_this_taught_as_nirodha_sacca? We need to strive to reach this state, you see? Consider this - #it's_all_due_to_clinging.

When you know the Five Aggregates as dukkha sacca, know them as impermanent, know them as suffering, know them as non-self - #when_you_truly_know_the_Five_Aggregates_doesn't_wrong_view_fall_away? Aren't the Five Aggregates taught as personality belief? Wrong view falls away.

These aggregates, whether form or feeling - don't they change and perish? Don't they perish after being experienced? When they perish, do you find feeling or impermanence? #When_you_truly_know_impermanence_doesn't_ignorance_cease?

Does craving still come? Without craving, where would clinging come from? Without clinging, would bodily, verbal, and mental actions come? These are the results, you see? Isn't it good to examine causes and effects this way?

#When_you_know_it_as_suffering_doesn't_samudaya_sacca_die? Therefore, arising and passing away is which truth? (Dukkha sacca, Lord). Regarding ear, it's at the ear. Regarding body, it's at the body. Regarding tongue, it's at the tongue...

Now:
The currently hearing aggregate that's arising-passing is which truth? (Dukkha sacca, Lord)
The knowing is (Magga sacca, Lord)
The origin is (Samudaya sacca, Lord)
No more future aggregates is (Nirodha sacca, Lord)

How many sections in Dependent Origination? (Four sections, Lord)
How many factors in each section? (Five factors, Lord)
Five times four is (Twenty)
These eight should be (Easily memorized as the way to liberation from samsara)
