Through the power of these wholesome deeds of giving (dāna), morality (sīla), meditation (bhāvanā), determination (adhiṭṭhāna), perfections (pāramī), and insight meditation (vipassanā), may I attain the complete cessation of the five aggregates and mind-matter phenomena.
May the benefits of these wholesome deeds be shared with:
- My mother and father
- All beings who have been my parents throughout beginningless samsara
- My teachers
- All those gathered here to listen to the Dhamma
- The rulers of land and water
- The king of hell, Yama
- Guardian deities of the body, house, monastery, park, Dhamma hall
- Earth deities, tree deities, space deities
- Guardian deities of forests, mountains, villages, and cities
- Guardian deities of the Buddha's teachings
- The Four Great Kings and all beings in the 31 planes of existence
- All beings, whether happy or suffering
Having received these merits, may they be healthy in body and mind, may all their wishes be fulfilled, and may they easily strive and develop in the Dhamma of the noble ones.
May all beings share in these merits... Sādhu... Sādhu... Sādhu
