Cetanāhaṃ bhikkhave kammaṃ vadāmi

"One must have faith in kamma. Only with faith in kamma will one perfect their moral conduct (sīla). Without faith, moral conduct becomes meaningless. If moral conduct were perfect, look - in all of Burma(Myanmar), the soil would be fertile.

When the three seasons are in balance, all the food, drinks, fruits, and plants would become medicine. Whatever you eat would become nutritious medicine.

Consider the example of the Northern Island (Uttarakuru). The people of the Northern Island have no government, no fortune tellers, no doctors, do you hear? No spirit mediums, no magicians. They just pluck food from the wish-fulfilling trees. The people of the Northern Island live for a thousand years. Isn't this due to their moral conduct? Think about it.

If even half the people in Burma (Myanmar)maintained perfect moral conduct, the whole country would prosper. If everyone were virtuous, there would be nothing to worry about. Isn't this worth considering?

Didn't the Buddha teach 'Cetanāhaṃ bhikkhave kammaṃ vadāmi' (I declare that intention is kamma)? That intention will give results - there will be sufficient food and clothing, good health. Won't everything work out well?

If we encounter the Buddha's teachings in such favorable conditions and hear the truth of the Dhamma, realization can happen instantly. Isn't this worth studying?

But now, people are half-believing, half-doubting. Isn't this worth contemplating? These things exist. Isn't it worth thinking about? Yes, examine these things carefully. Study them thoroughly."
