Breaking free from wrong view, and understanding the nature of ultimate reality for achieving true liberation.

"Listen well, Dhamma audience, something you may not have heard before. For those listening to the Dhamma, #it's_important_to_break_free_from_personality_view (sakkāya-diṭṭhi). Only when we know the truth will falsehood disappear.

Now, suppose there are eight excellent colored medicines before us that we bought, with eight cups nearby, and water ready. Can't we say these are like medicine bottles for the Dhamma audience?

If asked what we see, shouldn't we mix it with water in the cups? Don't we need to stir it with a dropper? When stirred, it shows various colors, right? Dhamma audience, what do you see in the cups? You see medicines, right?

Now, isn't there a screen in front? When we drop paint on that screen and draw a famous actress on one side and a famous actor on the other, coloring them in,

Don't we see them as an actress and actor? When men see the actress, don't they develop lust? #That's_desire_and_craving. When women see the actor, don't they develop lust?

But when we examine carefully, is it an actress or just paint? An actor or just paint? Would someone who sees it as mere paint develop greed, hatred, or delusion? Isn't this worth examining?

Isn't it taught that with every sight, there's potential for Nibbāna? We need to see things as they are, right? Isn't this worth investigating? In reality, this is just visible form aggregate (rūpakkhandha). #Don't_we_need_to_understand_it_as_form_aggregate?

Doesn't form aggregate change and decay? Does it decay after knowing, or before? When it decays, do we see mind-matter or non-existence? Isn't non-existence taught as impermanence? Isn't understanding taught as the Path?

Does ignorance still arise? Does craving still come? Does clinging still occur? Does kamma still form? Don't the three types of Dependent Origination cease? Doesn't the process of aggregates end? #Isn't_this_taught_as_the_Truth_of_Cessation?

Therefore, it's taught that with every sight, every sound, there's potential for Nibbāna. Nibbāna means the cessation of defilements, the cessation of aggregates.

#Isn't_Nibbāna_with_remaining_aggregates called Saupādisesa Nibbāna? And Nibbāna without remaining aggregates called #Anupādisesa_Nibbāna? Isn't this worth examining?

When the Buddha meditated at the Bodhi tree on the golden throne, didn't the defilements cease? One thousand five hundred defilements ended, right? After defilements ceased, would there be future aggregates?

#Will_the_existing_aggregates_disappear? Isn't it taught as resultant aggregates? With remaining aggregates, he could teach Dhamma for 45 years. Could he teach without aggregates? This is worth considering, right?

Therefore, isn't it taught as the Nibbāna of defilements? At age 80, after teaching for 45 years, didn't he attain final Nibbāna in the Sala grove of the Malla kings? Do the aggregates still exist?

No more aggregates remain, right? Isn't this taught as Anupādisesa Nibbāna? Isn't this worth studying? We can only eliminate what we understand. Strive to understand. #Only_by_understanding_these_teachings_will_we_find_true_peace. Without understanding, greed, hatred, and delusion will arise..."
